Announcements For December
Boys Basketball- Congratulations to the Boy’s Varsity Basketball team for their victory Saturday night against Bellflower here at home. The bears played great defensively and controlled the entire game, holding the high powered Buccaneers to only 40 points, defeating Bellflower by a score of 47-40. The bears were lead by Junior Brandon Chavers who scored 11 points, and by Senior Chris Maheras and Mohammed Chehata who each added 10 points. The team is not 2-1 and will face Huntington Park today at 6:00pm at Santa Fe High School in the opening round of Blue Pride Classic. Come out and support the team! LETS GO BEARS!
Congratulations to the Junior Varsity and Freshmen Boys Basketball Team for their good start this season. Both teams defeated Schurr last Thursday by over 20 points and scored victories against the Bellflower Buccaneers on Saturday. Both teams are now 2-1. The Junior Varsity team has a break this week while the Freshmen team begin to play in the Downey Tournament today at 3:00pm against Bellflower. Head over to Downey this afternoon to cheer the freshmen team on. GO BEARS!
PTSA- The Warren PTSA is having their second swap meet this weekend, Dec. 8th. We are in need of student volunteers to help us with the clean up from 2:45pm until done. This is a great opportunity for students to earn service hours towards their distingued graduate award. If you can help, please show up by 2:45pm in the front of the administration building.
Downey Federal Union- Want to start saving up for Prom, Graduation or a car? Stop by the credit union in K-3 to start today. Open Tuesdays and Thursday from 2:45-3:45.
Oceanography Club- Oceanography club meeting after school on Tuesday in room S213.
Girl League- He Bears! Come out and support Girls League by buying some yummy churrors in the quad during snack at both lunches! Support your fellow bears and grab a quick snack In the quad or at the Coffee shoppe, open before school snack during lunch and now after school.

Girls Basketball- The JV Lady Bears defeated Westminster 68-10 in the second round of the Westminster Tournament. The ladies played an outstanding team defense. Great Job!!

Girls Water Polo- Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Water Polo Team for defeating Jurupa Valley in the Los Altos Tournament yesterday night. Today the Bears head back to play La Quinta. Best of luck ladies! Also ALL GIRLS WATER POLO MEMBERS: report to Cordero’s room during 6th period.

Girls Water Polo- At the Los Altos Tournament this weekend, our Varsity Girls Water Polo Team lost against El Modena High School with a score of 4 to 7. But they made a comeback as they defeated Burroughs High School 16 to 3. Nice job ladies!!
